We are sure it comes as no surprise that the beautiful Westchester County has some of the most alluring sceneries in the Big Apple, but the county has more than an alluring natural setting, it is also home to some of the most idyllic picnic spots around. Having been in operation for years in this serene county, it is safe to say that our New York limo service has an intimate knowledge of the area. We have therefore decided to use this knowledge and compile a list of some our favorite picnic spots for your enjoyment.

To guarantee you a truly peaceful and relaxing experience, our Westchester car service will handle all the navigation to and from a location of your choice as you and your companions simply relax in the comfort of our luxury vehicles. Our professional and hospitable chauffeurs will also assist you in loading and offloading any supplies into your vehicle in an effort to make your experience genuinely tranquil.

Bronx River Park

Towards the South of Westchester County, you will find the Bronx River Park that stretches all the way from Kensico Dam in Valhalla to New York City, stretching across 13 miles and covering a total of 807 acres. Apart from the gorgeous picnic settings, you will also get to enjoy beautiful water-side views and a myriad of activities including fishing, biking, hiking, and even skiing during winter.

Kensico Dam Plaza

The Kensico Dam Plaza is a park located in Valhalla, open to the public between 8 am and 10 pm. This pet-friendly park hosts numerous festivals, concerts, and events throughout the year, so you may want to schedule your picnic for a day when there is an event the whole family can enjoy. Also, a lighting system keeps the park lit long after sundown, which gives you the opportunity to enjoy a late night picnic with a special someone or with a few close friends, how cool is that?

The Gardens at Caramoor

Located in Katoonah, the Gardens at Caramoor are home to five distinct garden sceneries that have become quite popular to wedding couples in Westchester. Management at the Gardens encourage picnicking; however, if there is an event, the grounds are reserved to ticketed parties only, so check their website before heading over. You don’t necessarily have to carry your own supplies from home when visiting the Gardens at Caramoor, you can simply stock up at the nearby Sgaglio Marketplace, open between 9 am and 6 pm, just before heading in for your picnic.

Gedney Park

The Gedney Park is located in Chappaqua and features over 126 acres of woodlands and 4 miles of biking and hiking trails. The park is also pet friendly, so you get to tag your furry friend along. Stop by Rocky’s Millwood Deli and stock up before heading to the park to enjoy the unlimited picnic spot options. The park is open 24 hours a day, but we recommend visiting between midday and dusk when the weather is warm and the sun is out.
