NYC Pilgrim Pedal

The Pilgrim Pedal is scheduled for Friday the 24th and is suitable for the entire family. The Pilgrim Pedal is a ten-mile public bike ride that crosses through Manhattan, Queens, and Brooklyn, so it’s also a great opportunity for those friends and family from out-of-town to sight see. You can stop anywhere along the way for pancakes, hotdogs, burgers etc. from various restaurants and street vendors so you don’t have to worry about refueling during this ride. We know what you’re thinking, not everyone you plan to be with on Thanksgiving will have a bike. That’s not a problem; you can always rent one for the day at Central Park and be on your way.

Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade Balloon Inflation

Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade Balloon Inflation is scheduled for Wednesday 22nd on Columbus Avenue. It’s a pre-Thanksgiving preparation function but it’s just as fun as the main event. Watch the giant balloons come to life alongside thousands of other enthusiasts; watch SpongeBob and other famous cartoon characters slowly take shape in preparation for the actual parade the following day. The inflation will begin at 3pm and will be done by 10pm, so get there early if you want to witness the entire process.

Breakfast with Santa and Elfprov

Enjoy a holiday meal with Santa and his little helpers at Elfprov on the morning of 26th from 10am. This family-style function will also feature an engaging holiday-themed musical comedy show where families get to tell the elves what the show should be about. The kids will also have the option of going on stage to participate and mingle with the elves. Tickets start at $39 per person and we recommend that you arrive early for an opportunity to take photos with Santa before the show begins.

Bank of America Winter Village at Bryant Park

Head over to Bryant Park and enjoy their 17,000 square foot outdoor ice-rink. Admission is completely free for all and they open late, making this activity the perfect way to end a wonderful Thanksgiving Day. Yes, we know we have said that admission is free but you still have to part with $20 to rent skates. However, if you have some ice skates lying around at home you are allowed to bring them. After you’ve had your time on the ice, you can head over to the cozy rink side restaurant to warm up before heading back home.
