Here Are the Top Events in Westchester This September

The Fall is finally here, the weather is gradually turning cooler, and everyone is steadily getting back into their usual routines. The excitement and freedom of summer may be fading away but that doesn’t mean that we can’t make time for fun every now and again. As such, our Westchester limo service has compiled a comprehensive list of some exciting events scheduled for this month in Westchester for your enjoyment.

We also recommend employing our New York ground transportation for all your transportation needs. Enjoy smooth and expedient transfers in the comfort of our luxury vehicles on your way to and from any one of these amazing events this month. Have an excellent month ahead!!

White Plains Jazz Fest

The White Plains Jazz Fest is scheduled to happen between the 12th and the 16th of September at several venues including the White Plains Performing Arts Center and ArtsWestchester. The event will climax on the final day on Mamaroneck Avenue with a free-for-all food festival and outdoor Jazz. Performances will incorporate jazz in all its forms including Afro-Cuban Jazz, American Jazz, Jazz Fusion, and more.

Armonk Outdoor Art Show

As the name suggests, the Armonk Outdoor Art Show will be held at the North Castle Community Park in Armonk on the 29th and 30th of this month. This will be the 57th annual event of its kind and close to 200 juried artists are expected to be present. This annual exhibition will showcase art pieces from across the United States and beyond. Each artist participating in the event will have their own booth that will feature watercolor and oil paintings, photography, printmaking, and even jewelry. Other activities and amenities at the event will include a food court, shuttle service, and free parking.

Thought, Emotion, and Politics in Prose

This is a public lecture hosted by Vinson Cunningham; the event is scheduled for the 12th of September between 2pm and 3pm. Vinson Cunningham will be primarily speaking about two forms of writing; critical analytical and emotional and how understanding the two changes how we perceive the work we term as ‘political’. The lecture is absolutely free and open to the public.

YoFiFest Film Festival

Head over to the Empire Casino in Yonkers on the 13th of September between 6pm and 9pm. The event will essentially be an announcement of the films that will feature in the annual YoFiFest film festival later in November. The purpose of the event is also to celebrate the filmmakers who created these films. Expect to enjoy plenty of food, drink, music, a dessert bar, photo-ops, bowling, raffles, and much more. Tickets are going for only $15 per person and each ticket comes with a complimentary valet ticket, a movies pass for the Alamo Drafthouse Cinema, and a single entry into the casino’s raffle to win two VIP tickets to the November Festival. If you are not yet convinced, YoFiFest.net is a non-profit organization and all proceeds go towards supporting filmmakers and the art of filmmaking.
