How to Celebrate Father’s Day in Westchester 2018

It’s almost that time of the year again, when we celebrate the wonderful fathers in our lives. That could include your father, your husband, your grandfather, your uncles, your brothers, etc. But for some reason, it is always so difficult to decide what to do for the men in our lives. Well, that’s what our Westchester car service is here for; we want to aid you in deciding how best to spend Father’s Day this year in Westchester.

Also, consider employing the services of our Westchester limo service for all your transportation needs to make the experience extra special for dad, no matter where you decide to spend Father’s Day. Here are a few great ideas on how to spend this special day in Westchester County.

Have a Meal at the Equus Restaurant

Treat dad to a special meal at the Equus Restaurant in Tarrytown along Benedicts Avenue. Equus is arguably one of the best eateries in the county. The menu here offers a generous selection for every course including ten appetizers and entrees options. Some of the appetizer options include tomato and strawberry gazpacho; entrée options include grilled grouper, and desert options include citrus cheesecake terrine.

Catch a Flick Alamo Drafthouse Cinema

Head over to Yonkers and catch a badass film; enjoy both your onscreen and real-life heroes. The theatre regularly features special screenings for classics such as the God Father, The Good the Bad and The Ugly, Money Train, Hour of the Wolf, Silence of the Lambs, Doctor Doolittle, and much more. Explore their website and schedule the visit with your dad for a time when your favorite movie is showing.

Visit the Melting Pot

What’s better than sharing a meal and a few beers with dad on Father’s Day? Here you will get to enjoy a three-course meal and, traditionally, fathers receive a complimentary beer along with their meal. The menu includes entrees such as basil pesto chicken, teriyaki-marinated sirloin, pacific white shrimp, herb-crusted pork medallion, and much more. Beers include Bud or Bud Light, Blue Moon Belgian White, Samuel Adams, and Corona. You will also get the chance to enjoy salads, fondues, and variety of desserts if you’re up for it.

Boscobel House and Gardens

Grab your dad on Father’s Day and head over to Garrison, Hudson Valley for a nice relaxing day at the Boscobel House and Gardens. The Boscobel Gardens were established in the 19th Century by Morris Dyckman and his wife, a family of loyalists that amassed their wealth by working for British quartermasters during the American Revolt. However, Dyckman died before the garden’s completion. The original expanse stretched 15 miles downriver, but the house was moved and reconstructed when the government threatened to demolish it in the 1950s. The property includes a fully furnished main house, woodland trails, formal gardens, landscaped grounds, and picturesque views. If what you’re looking for is a calming, serene day out with your dad, then Boscobel is just the place for you.
