The Ultimate Guide to a Family Friendly Christmas in Westchester

It may not be the 25th of December yet, but the holiday season is definitely upon us. In fact, the festive season in Westchester County kicked off in mid-November and we expect it to last well beyond the actual Christmas day. There are numerous Christmas-themed events and activities scheduled to go down in our charming county and since Christmas is a time for family, our Westchester limo service specialists decided to compile a short list of what we consider to be the most exciting family-friendly events.

Before we get to our list, however, we would like to recommend contracting our New York Limo Service for all your transportation needs for the duration of the holiday. The festive season is a magical time and the only downside is that it comes with a significant influx in both human and vehicle traffic. You may, therefore, find yourself spending a significant amount of time navigating heavy traffic in harsh weather conditions and trying to find parking spaces at different venues.

Let our professionally trained chauffeurs take this burden from you and handle all the driving and navigation. Not only will this be a treat to remember for the family, but it will also give you a chance to enjoy a luxurious, hassle-free ride to any destination of your choosing, and to truly devote all your time and energy on the family as you share in the anticipation of your impending experiences. Happy Holidays!

The following are a few exciting, family friendly events and activities scheduled for Westchester county this holiday season.

Winter Wonderland

The Winter Wonderland is scheduled to go down between the 23rd of November and the 31st of December at the Kensico Dam Plaza located along the Bronx Riverside Parkway in Valhalla. This outdoor event will offer you and your loved ones numerous perks including a chance to go ice skating, vendors, refreshments, a circus show, Candy Cane Forest lights, The Santa Experience, ten unique rides, a musical light show, and much more. At 8pm on New Year's Eve attendants will also get to experience a magnificent firework display as well as a ball drop. General admittance goes for $18 per day, although children below the age of 3 are admitted absolutely free.

Dickens' Christmas Carol

Head over to the Old Dutch Church located along 430 North Broadway in Sleepy Hollow for the Dickens’ Christmas Carol from the 8th of December to the 26th of December; performances will only happen on Saturdays and Sundays and will last approximately one hour. This event will, however, only accommodate children over the age of 10. Visit the church and listen to master storyteller, Jonathan Kruk, share his rendition of Charles Dickens’ classic, ‘A Christmas Carol’, with musical accompaniment for dramatic effect. You will also get to see the pew remains of Washington Irving who served as a vestryman of this old church in 1837. Admissions to this event are $25 for adults, $20 for anyone below the age of 20, and completely free for kids below the age of 3.
