4 Best Coffee Places in Westchester

Did you know that there are 20 Starbucks locations in Westchester County alone? This is great news for every caffeine-hooked person in and around Westchester. Most times, you just want to grab that quick cup and go about your business, but sometimes you want to sit down somewhere away from conventional coffee outlets and savor a perfectly brewed cup of espresso.

Well, you’re in luck because there are plenty of beautiful and independent coffee places in Westchester, and our Westchester Car Service has scouted them out for you.  Here is a short list of some great coffee places we would recommend that you visit in Westchester County.

Aroma

Surprisingly, this cozy coffee shop is located right across the street from a Starbucks. Aroma has been standing at the same spot for more than 20 years, way before the colossal chain establishment arrived in Westchester. Westchester residents attribute the longevity of the shop to the quality of coffee Aroma pours into every cup. At Aroma, beans are roasted in little batches just a few steps away from where you are seated, which makes it an intimate and personalized experience. There are at least six different varieties available every day, announced in the classic form of a chalkboard behind the counter. This coffee shop is open every day of the year and patrons get discounted prices if they bring their own mugs.

Tazza Cafe

Tazza offers a wide variety of options, having at least seven different varieties of coffee on a daily basis. Options could include deep/mellow Colombian, the popular House Blend, and even seasonal flavors such as the Halloween Pumpkin Spice. There is also an option to buy beans you can use to brew your own coffee at home. However, if you’re not interested in brewing your own coffee, you may be interested in their wide selection of delicious house-made baked goods and gluten-free items.

Coffee Labs Roasters

Coffee Labs officially opened its doors back in May 2003. At this indie joint you can either enjoy the coffee on-site or buy freshly roasted beans and make your own at home, or both, why not? At Coffee Labs, you will experience coffee from all around the world: Africa, Central America, the Pacific Rim, and different combinations of these varieties. The coffee shop got part of its name from the owner’s pet, a Labrador, hence the ‘Labs’ and as you can already guess, this coffee shop is dog-friendly, so if you have a pet, this may be just the place for you. Coffee Labs is open every day of the week.

Slave to the Grind

First of all, every coffee lover should take a moment to appreciate the clever wordplay in the name.

This is another indie coffee shop popular for placing tough trivia questions on their chalkboard that you and your companions can rack your brains on as you enjoy a variety of drinks. This coffee shop also provides checkers and chess boards to patrons. Coffee varieties available to you at this joint include espresso, iced coffee, regular coffee, latte, and a variety of delicious treats.
