4 Questions to Ask When Booking Wedding Transportation

To be safe, you should plan on booking your wedding transportation at least five months before the date your wedding is due. However, if your wedding is taking place during wedding peak seasons, which is between April and July, you should get to it even earlier than that. Yes, you want all these arrangements to fall in place and rest assured that your wedding will go down without a hitch, but before you sign any contract, there are a few questions you need to ask your wedding transportation service provider.

Charges

This should be your very first concern. You wouldn’t want to be blindsided by costs you hadn’t anticipated close to the wedding, or worse, on the day of the wedding itself. Questions you should ask regarding charges include: do you charge by the hour, by the day, by distance, or other? What additional costs are likely to accrue and under what circumstances? This will keep you aware of the possible cost of the transportation and save you disappointment later. Also remember to inquire about their discount policies, if you can save a little money, then why not?

Capacity

Besides the fact that everyone riding in the vehicles needs to be safe and comfortable, you need to be aware of the capacity each vehicle can accommodate to estimate how many vehicles you will need for you and your honored guests. However, regardless of what the actual capacity is, this is a wedding and people are dressed up; skirts, tuxes, freshly curled hair, all this might require you to create a little more wiggle room, which means you will need more vehicles than you would normally use for any other occasion.

Complimentary Amenities

We have all seen those luxury vehicles, whether in movies or real life, where there is a mini-bar/snack-bar in the vehicle. However, not all vehicles have such a provision, so to avoid disappointment later make sure to like your service provider whether they offer such amenities in their vehicles. If they do fine, if they don’t and you are okay with that, then fine too. If they offer complimentary amenities make sure to ask if they come at an extra cost and whether you need to pay in advance for beverages and snacks to be stocked.

Contract

Every business transaction demands that you have a written and signed covenant before money changes hands. This guarantees you that the services promised to you will be delivered on the agreed upon date and in the agreed-upon fashion lest there will be consequences on the part of the party in breach. This contract should either guarantee you your money back if the transportation service doesn’t deliver as effectively and efficiently as they were supposed to and it also acts as a watchdog, keeping your service provider on their toes in order to deliver the service they guaranteed you.
