It’s stressful to pare down what’s in your luggage, but do try. Traveling away from home and all you need is stressful, but most things are easily obtained wherever you’re going. There’s no need to pack the baby four packages of diapers when you can stop when you land to pick them up. Anything you can pick up when you arrive is not worth packing now.
Do Create a Color Scheme
If you’re packing light, create a color scheme. This works because it allows you to pack items that all go together so you can mix and match and create more than one outfit out of one piece of clothing. It also allows you to pare down what you’re packing in terms of accessories. It’s easier to pack all neutrals with one pair of dress shoes and one evening bag than to pack a myriad of colors and four pair of shoes and matching clutches.

One of the biggest mistakes people make when packing is not learning what to pack by checking the weather where they’re going. It might be very warm where you are, but very cold where you’re going.
