You’re not the only one eagerly awaiting the warmer temperatures of spring, and if it isn’t here yet in New York, it’s only going to be a short matter of time before it arrives. Grab this opportunity to plan and map out just what you’ll want to do when then sun rays start shining through. Are you looking to challenge yourself physically? Or maybe you’re looking forward to just chilling with great food and drinks. Whichever your preference, you’ll want to take a look at our top favorite activities that we’ve listed down just for you:

Hiking at The Watkins Glen State Park

One of the best physical activities for all ages is hiking, and when you have the mesmerizing Watkins Glen State Park to enjoy, it’s simply too good to miss out on. Here, you can find many gorgeous waterfalls to just enjoy the sight of, and it’s a great place to relax and unwind. In fact, you can even come here every weekend, because it’s really something you will never get tired of experiencing.

Visiting Chelsea Market

It may be indoors, but when you have the option to sample and buy tons of fresh produce and products from the great outdoors, you can bet your boots that this is truly the place to be. The market combines a food hall and shopping mall, so it’s really an all-in-one place that’s truly unique. If you’re up to getting some of the freshest stuff to enjoy, just come on over today.
Location: 75 9th Ave, New York, NY 10011

Picnicking at Governors Island

When the place is car-free, you can more or less look forward to crisp fresh air and a lot less noise pollution. Although it used to be a former military base, it’s now a cool hangout place, and best of all, even the ferry ride is completely free. Just pack your sumptuous picnic basket, catch a ferry over, and start basking in the sun without a care in the world. However, it only reopens in May, so you’ll want to bring your picnicking adventures somewhere else for the time being.
