Your One Stop Wedding Transportation Guide

Whether you’re preparing for your own wedding or helping someone you love to get ready for theirs, the transportation for the big day plays a crucial part in ensuring that events proceed smoothly. How will everybody be getting from one place to another? Do some people need you to help with their transport?

If there’s one thing we know after many years in the transportation industry, it’s that you’ll probably need an expert like us to help you out. Our Westchester limo service has seen its fair share of happy nuptials, and we’ll love to be a part of your special day. We’ve even got some tips for you to ensure that you get to enjoy a memorable wedding:

Know When to Book

Give yourself at least six months before the actual date to book your transportation. This is especially crucial if your big day falls anywhere between the months of April to June (the time for proms and graduations). Formal vehicles will be in high demand, and if you’re looking to ride in a vintage model, you might need to make an even earlier booking to secure your dream ride.

It’s All in the Details

Always be prepared. You’ve probably got a million and one things on your mind already, so don’t add to your growing list of concerns by ensuring that all your guest details are in place. Get a call sheet going with names, phone numbers and pick up and drop-off addresses. Be sure to call the limo service to confirm the day before to ensure that your arrangements are met.

Choose Your Preferred Vehicle

Although you’re obviously going to be the main couple at the wedding, other guests are equally important, and you’ll want everyone there on time. Figure out the mode of transport for you and your partner-to-be, close family and relatives and friends. You’ll also want to ensure that everyone gets to their end destination safely (and this includes those who’ve hit the champagne bottle more than a few times) so hiring a reliable transportation company makes sense.

Get an Accurate Headcount

Now, let’s look into determining just how to transport everyone comfortably and safely. Think about transportation logistics: who should travel with whom, how many people will need transport from home, and so on. You’re not financially responsible for everyone’s mode of transport, but it is common courtesy to help out where you can, especially with out-of-town guests. Once you’ve got the number of people sorted out, you’ll be able to plan a whole lot better with your preferred transportation company.

Give Each Trip Enough Time

Anything can happen, good or bad, so you’ll want to cover as many bases as possible. Avoid planning a schedule that’s so packed there’s no room to breathe or space for mistakes. This is important if your wedding day comprises of more than one venue that requires driving over to since jams and other unexpected delays can throw a spanner into the works.

Our New York limo service is in high demand. To make sure that you have access to the vehicles and chauffeured transportation experience you need on your big day, we recommend that you schedule your reservation as soon as possible.
